Nasser Hussain had this to say about the new study:
'I warmly welcome the study of English cricket by the Sports Nexus. It is a thorough investigation into the major problems facing our game at a critical time in its history.
The solutions presented show clear modern thinking in terms of the game's administration, funding and presentation. If addressed, these ideas could have a large impact in improving the game at all levels and ensure the status of cricket as England's No 1 summer sport.'
Lord McLaurin of Knebworth said: 'Despite the current success of English Cricket at international level, it is my view that the management and committee structure of the game has to be updated and streamlined. I welcome this document from the Sports Nexus which produces some modern solutions to the problems currently facing the game.'
